System appropriateness and following relevant standards and guidance matter. The National Construction Code sets requirements that apply to building work, and we install to suit your wall and project.
It can help, but performance depends on the whole building envelope, including thermal bridges and how the system is installed. R value is the key measure.
The most accurate way to price it is a site inspection followed by a fixed quote, because wall area, access and finish all matter.
Keep it clean, inspect sealant and junctions occasionally, and address chips or impact marks early.
Both are rigid board insulation. EPS is widely used, and XPS is often chosen where higher moisture resistance is helpful. We recommend based on your wall and finish.
